The Intensive Care Unit at St. Vincent’s University Hospital is a 16 bedded unit with 8 isolation cubicles.  It is a tertiary referral university affiliated centre providing critical care services for a wide variety of specialities:

 

• Liver transplant (national service)
• Hepatobiliary surgery (national service)
• Hepatology (national service)
• Cystic Fibrosis (national service)
• Major general surgery, including colorectal
• Major vascular surgery
• Orthopaedic and trauma
• Thoracic surgery
• Urology, Plastics, ENT, Opthalmology
• Complex obstetric peri and post-op care
• Oncology
• Haematology
• Neurology
• Cardiology
• Nephrology
• Gastroenterology
• Rheumatology
• Emergency medicine
